His childhood
Nikos Papas was born in the largest and then most traditional village of the island: Archangelos. This village is known for its beautiful village center with blue and white houses, a sugar confectionery church where the women, some in traditional clothing, meet on the market square. His father was the first Papas with a driver's license. Until then, transport was by donkey. Mother sat on the donkey, the luggage was tied and the Papas and children walked next to it. From the age of ten he guided tourists along a narrow and unknown path to Tsambika Beach. At the age of 18, electricity came to the village!
Tourism to Archangelos
When Nikos Papas returned home from as a young boy from his 2 years duty in the army, his parents had a surprise for him. To keep Nikos in the village, they had built a building. On the main village road. In the winter, children from the next village who attended the village school in Archangelos could stay overnight in this building. In the summer, Nikos was in his element. The rooms were rented to tourists! It was the village's first hotel! Shortly afterwards Nikos built a second floor on his hotel. He opened a travel agency there. And closed it again after a few flourishing years; he wanted to develop his lovely Jungle place. He wanted to enjoy this paradise,HIS paradise with the guest exploring the island of Rhodes. And now thisJungle Day becmae an unique and unforgettable day! And Nikos? He can not get enough of his Jungle and his walks with the tourists!
Owner of Hotel
He came up with his own Crazy Greek Night. Just Greek clothes for the guests and torches. The guests enjoyed it so much! And Nikos too! That time his Greek Evenings in his hotel at the village road were an important event in this, till then, rather quiet village. The men came out onto the spacious hotel terrace. The women sat on brought along chairs across the road! Nikos Papas turned it into quite a happening! Traffic jammed! Both the villagers and the tourists enjoyed it!
